The Federation of Baseball Malaysia (FBM) is the national governing body for the baseball sport in Malaysia. Its main objective is to promote and develop baseball to Malaysians, of all demographic and education levels. It also responsible in the creation, developing, training and managing the Malaysian national Baseball team for international tournaments and meets, such as the SEA Games and the Asian Games. FBM was first formed in the year 1997 as Persatuan Besbol Amatur Malaysia (Malaysian Amateur Baseball Association) by its founding President, YBhg. Dato' Noh Abdullah, the first Director-General of the Majlis Sukan Negara (National Sports Council).
FBM works closely with various State Baseball Associations, clubs and corporations, in its effort of introducing the Baseball sport to Malaysians, via tournaments, leagues and clinics, held strategically throughout the year. So far, the Malaysian Baseball fraternity have grown over the past years, of which members includes professional adults and university students.
FBM will continuously strive to promote and develop the Malaysian Baseball fraternity, hoping that one day, Malaysian Baseball standards are at par to international and major league Baseball levels.
